Zahra Zandiyeh, known as Marzi.
English Studies researcher, translator, teacher, painter, potter, and Digital Humanities practitioner working where literature, data, and visual imagination meet.
Profile
I am graduated from the Master’s program in English Studies at the University of Guelph.
My research and creative practice center on Digital Humanities, literary studies, and data visualization. I am especially drawn to Digital Humanities because it enables me to merge creativity with scholarship, visualizing words, fairy tales, and stories in ways that reflect my deeply visual way of thinking. With academic training in French Language and Literature and an M.A. in Dramatic Literature, I bring an interdisciplinary perspective that bridges critical analysis with artistic expression.
Beyond academia, I am a painter and potter, integrating the visual arts into my explorations of digital culture and narrative form. I have published scholarly articles, translated works of literature, including children’s books and critical texts, and contributed to collaborative Digital Humanities projects and academic events.
Through both scholarship and art, my goal is to uncover hidden patterns, push boundaries, and create spaces where literature, data, and imagination converge while continuing to grow as both a researcher and an artist.
